Its been almost a month since I actually blogged anything. Pretty long and dear has been complaining that I don't give her anything to read. Not that I didn't want to blog you know, its just that my Internet had some problem which did not allow me to access gmail.

Ok so lets see, how do I start this post.......well, maybe I could start off by writing what I've been doing recently. Yes, that sounds like a good idea. See, one of the reasons why I couldn't blog also is cause I'm working now. What am I doing? Well I'm doing a administrative job at Singapore Exhibition Services. Now administrative jobs have never been my cup of tea. Its boring, its mundane and its downright mind-numbing. However, money and the need for it is a powerful motivator. I have been living on the edge of being totally broke since the middle of the month so when this job came along, I took it up without much hesitancy. Of course there are several perks to taking this job as well, the most important one being that dear is also working in the same company as I am now as a receptionist, though she'll only start on 9th April. I on the other hand have started working since 19march.

Yes this admin job is boring at times but the working environment there is pretty good. My 2 bosses are friendly and there are several shatec students who are attached to this company and 2 girls who are just out of JC and since they're around my age range, it makes it that much easier to talk to them. Furthermore, unlike the previous admin jobs I've held, this one does have an added variety to the job scope. Calling overseas and talking to people from different countries like China, Vietnam and India as well as Australia and New Zealand, it is pretty interesting to actually speak with them. Yes, calling China was no walk in the park for me seeing as how, though I indicate that my proficiency in Chinese is fair during the interview, it really is quite atrocious. However, my command of the Chinese language is nothing compared to Pakistani people's command of English. Why do I say that? Well here's an example of an email 1 Pakistani guy who is interested in attending the exhibition sent me.

"Dear Sirs,

We would like to up to date you we are really interested to be present at your exhibition and regarding to attend this exhibition we waiting any paper work a invitation letter, we wish this processor as early because Singapore consulate takes minimum one week for visa processor and we would not wish to left this exhibition.

But still did not raiceved it for invitation letter i m waiting invitation letter after riceved it invitation letter processocd visa sir plz you are send me invitation letter by e mail (Attachmint files)"

When I received this email, I did not know how to reply him. Seriously, do they not have Microsoft Word or at least some email dictionary to correct them? The first paragraph you could understand slightly but that guy must have gotten lazy while writing the second paragraph and the email crumbled from there on. There are several other emails from them, longer ones which are as bad, if not worse. I mean, the word "received" could be spelt in 2 different ways in the same sentence itself. At least if you wanna be wrong, be consistently wrong. Of course I do get a laugh out of all these funny english.

Another thing I realised while working is how some names sound really funny. For example, this lady called "Tea See Dee" (TCD). Er.......if any of you can guess which is her surname? I personally can't you know but Tea seems to be the closest. Someone else's name is Echo Tan. Yes, echo ho ho o o. A thai person's name was Supaporn. Kinda normal for thai people but to us Singaporeans...... well lets just say its not very nice eh? You could just hear some teenage hormonally charged secondary school students saying "eh you wanna go my house to watch supaporn?". How bout this Vietnamese guy named Chi Kien? Sounds normal doesn't it? Until you find out he works for KFC. Imagine a Singaporean guy going over to Vietnam to look for that guy.

S'porean: Can I speak to Chi Kien please?
KFC staff: Sorry sir, our Chickens can't speak to you.
S'porean: Oh is Chi Kien busy?
KFC staff: Sorry sir, our Chicken all dead.
S'porean: OMG! What happened to Chi Kien?
KFC staff: Er....Chicken was fried sir....

Well you get the idea don't you?

And then I saw this...

BATMAN!!! Nanananana BATMAN!!!! Well, at least we now know Superman's son will take over the reins of batman in the future.....a storyline for DC comics to think about maybe? I can just imagine how people tease him bout his name. I mean a simple biblical name like Noah can be turned into no-ah no-ah no-ah so just imagine what the amount of name teasing he has to endure through his life. Man, he sure needs lots of patience. "Patience" incidentally is a name of a girl.

Alright then, its been a long post and it really is time for bed. There's work tomorrow and I have to work OT as well. Tuesday's going to be my 4 lovely months with dear and we're celebrating it at Bakerzin at Paragon. Anyway, till my next entry, take care people and take care dear (TCD)!

I just came across this picture in my email. Something about it being sacred. But the only thing this picture did was to scare the shit outta me. There's something sinister bout those eyes and that smile which sends shivers down my spine. Seriously.

Okie dokie, goodnight people!

Well well well, its 3 months with dear today. It may seem like it isn't a very long time but each moment spent with her is filled with sweetness and happiness and thats all that matters!

Anyway ate at Essential Brew at Holland Village today, where I think every dish they have there has got something to do with tea. Tried the cajun dory, wedges, fried tofu and the cookie mookie or somthing to that effect. Not too bad in fact. Yes, quite good. Total cost for 2 of us? Around 50 bucks so its quite a good place to bring your date or just to chill there. Atmosphere seems to be condusive though it was quite noisy today cause there was a birthday party held there today.

Working at Suntec again tomorrow. The career fair seminar. My job consists mainly of opening and closing doors and assisting the speakers with anything they might need. Its going to be tiring so I guess I'll end here now.

Goodnights all!
